Amber Thomas is a nationally recognized maternal health advocate, Registered Nurse, International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), Certified Doula, and Lamaze Childbirth Educator with over 20 years of experience supporting women through all stages of fertility, birth, and postpartum care. As the founder of Mother Eve’s Childbearing Support Services, Amber has served more than 3,000 families, helping them navigate their motherhood journey with compassion, clarity, and culturally competent care.
Her approach is rooted in holistic wellness, clinical evidence, and spiritual wisdom. A proud Black mother, non-traditional parent, and community leader, Amber brings lived experience to her practice, offering safe and affirming spaces for women who are often overlooked by traditional systems. She specializes in supporting high-achieving women with complex fertility journeys, as well as mothers seeking personalized, consistent support through birth and breastfeeding.
Amber is also a passionate educator and mentor, guiding the next generation of doulas and lactation professionals of color through her Fruitful Lactation Fellowship. Through her work, she continues to advocate for health equity, reproductive justice, and joyful, well-supported parenting.
When she’s not coaching clients or leading workshops, Amber can be found mentoring future birth workers, speaking at national conferences, and spending time with her daughter, who inspires her daily to keep fighting for a better maternal health system.
